DESCRIPTION:Titia de Lange-Brief biography\nProfessor de Lange is a world
 ‑leading molecular biologist\, renowned for her pioneering work on telom
 eres. After completing her training in Amsterdam and postdoctoral research
  with Nobel Laureate Harold Varmus at UCSF – where she first isolated hu
 man telomeric DNA – she joined Rockefeller University\, where she is now
  Director of the Anderson Center for Cancer Research. She is a member of t
 he US National Academy of Sciences\, the Royal Society\, and numerous othe
 r academies\, and has received many of the field’s highest honours\, inc
 luding the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences\, the Canada Gairdner Award
 \, and the Pezcoller–AACR International Award.
