DESCRIPTION:Join us on the 10th March as we welcome Yu Jialan\, an award-w
 inning reporter and businesswoman.\n\nYu began her career as a journalist 
 with Global Times and China International Communications Group (CICG)\, a 
 foreign-language publishing and communications organisation. She later wor
 ked as a writer and host for CICG’s weekly program Top Five in China\, c
 overing major developments in China’s economy\, politics\, and military 
 affairs\, reaching an audience of over 10 million viewers worldwide.\n\nIn
  2017\, Yu received the China News Award\, presented by the State Publicit
 y Department\, in recognition of her outstanding reporting. Following her 
 journalism career\, she transitioned into the corporate sector\, serving a
 s Head of the CEO’s Office at Société Générale\, one of Europe’s l
 eading financial services groups.\n\nIn 2020\, Yu was awarded Peking Unive
 rsity’s highest scholarship for its MBA program. Today\, as a single mot
 her of two\, she is the founder of Upsnail Public Speaking Academy\, a Bei
 jing-based business dedicated to empowering students through effective com
