DESCRIPTION:Many organisations routinely expose staff to traumatic situati
 ons including the emergency services\, healthcare organisations\, the mili
 tary\, social services\, media professionals and so on. Such employers hav
 e a duty of care to protect the mental health of trauma-exposed staff and 
 healthcare providers have to provide care for people who develop PTSD or o
 ther trauma-related mental health disorders. This talk will outline the ev
 idence based approaches to managing traumatic stress within a workplace an
 d provide an update on contemporary treatment approaches to trauma-related
  mental ill-health.
