DESCRIPTION:Lewy body dementia (LBD) includes both Dementia with Lewy bodi
 es (DLB) and Parkinson’s disease dementia (PDD). Conventional neuroimagi
 ng methods such as structural MRI have had limited utility because they mo
 stly focus on measures of loss of volume and cortical thickness\, which is
  heterogeneous in Lewy body disorders. Therefore\, there is an urgent need
  to identify useful neuroimaging markers in LBD.\n\nIn this talk\, I will 
 discuss findings from studies that used Quantitative Susceptibility Mappin
 g (QSM)\, neuroanatomical normative modelling\, brain ageing and Fixel bas
 ed analysis (FBA) in patients with Lewy body disorders\, to shed light on 
 underlying disease mechanisms and determine whether neuroimaging metrics d
 erived from these techniques have clinical promise.
