DESCRIPTION:I will discuss recent work on projective configuration counts:
  higher-dimensional analogues of cross-ratio degrees. I will explain how w
 e establish an upper bound and a dimension reduction principle for these. 
 I will end with a lamentation on the difficulties of compactifying configu
 ration spaces in higher dimension.\n\nJoint work with Alex Fink and Rob Si
