DESCRIPTION:For the next CU Energy Network seminar\, we are delighted to w
 elcome Dr Michal Chesshire of BiogenGreenfinch\, a leader in the construct
 ion and operation of anaerobic digesters.\n\nAnaerobic digestion (AD) is a
  natural biological process whereby organic material\, such as manure\, se
 wage sludge and food waste\, is recycled into biofertiliser and biogas. It
  is therefore a waste management process\, a nutrient management process a
 nd a renewable energy process. AD is practised worldwide in many different
  ways from the very small scale in China to industrial scale in Europe. Th
 is presentation will give the background to the process of AD and how biog
 as is used. Examples of digesters across the world will be shown to demons
 trate the diversity of the process and its very different market drivers.
