DESCRIPTION:*The talk is about the conceptual foundations of the special t
 heory of relativity (STR)\, which although mathematically correct have bee
 n physically misinterpreted for a hundred years.*\n\nDr Svein Otto Kanstad
  is giving a talk on special relativity TONIGHT at 7:30pm\; Pharmacology L
 ecture Theatre.\n\nFREE ENTRY\, REFRESHMENTS PROVIDED\n\nThe talk is about
  the conceptual foundations of the special theory of relativity\, which al
 though mathematically correct have been physically misinterpreted for a hu
 ndred years. His ideas revolutionise the concept of Special Relativity wit
 h beautifully simple thought experiments (he’s proven them with some mat
 hematics too).	\n\nThere will be some maths\, and there will be some philo
 sophy\; and since this is new work (currently in publication)\, it initial
 ly appears to contradict Einstein’s ideas\, and hence teachings in the N
 atSci Tripos. Come and find out where the field of Special Relativity coul
 d be heading!\n\nRemember that this talk is open to all\, and is free to a
 ttend. He’s an inspirational speaker\, and there will be an opportunity
