DESCRIPTION:Genome association studies have been traditionally used to exp
lore \ngenotype to disease phenotype associations. However\, this a very g
eneral\ntechnique which can be used for any observable phenotype with a pr
oportion\nvariance due to genetic differences. I will illustrate recent pr
ogress in\nusing genetic based association to understand basic biological
phenomena\,\nsuch as chromatin accessibility in lymphocytes and Drosophila
  Oogensis.
