DESCRIPTION:DNA methylation is a widespread epigenetic modification that h
as been implicated in many processes of transcriptional regulation\, devel
opment\, and disease. DNAm can be assayed using a ChIP-seq-like approach
called MeDIP\, but doing so poses analytical challenges not found in ChIP-
seq data. We discuss approaches for analysing MeDIP data\, and several re
cent findings concerning the landscape and variability of the DNA methylat
 ion mark.\n
