DESCRIPTION:In the next in our series of Sales Special Interest Group meet
 ings we will be discussing the increasingly more important use of social m
 edia as a sales tool.\n\nBusinesses like Jagex\, Zappos\, Threadless\, Loc
 al Motors and Sun Microsystems are using blogs\, Twitter and other social 
 media to engage early adopter communities. But building Sales through thes
 e communities demands that companies rethink pricing\, incentives for cont
 ributions\, the product development process and even the supply chain. Dis
 cussing this will be Oliver Kern from Cambridge company Jagex\, and author
  Alan Moore:\n\nOliver Kern is Head of Online Strategy at Jagex\, followin
 g working at Oberon Media\, fun.net Germany and mediaman. He has wide expe
 rience in Social Media\, including media planning\, viral marketing strate
 gies\, email campaigns and cross-marketing co-operation. Jagex is best kno
 wn for the RuneScape online game\, as well as the FunOrb games site. Jagex
  has over 350 employees\, with all content development\, management\, and 
 customer support provided 'in house'.\n\nAlan Moore is an author of severa
 l books including Communities Dominate Brands: Business and Marketing Chal
 lenges for the 21st Century. He is an executive director of Mass Niche Med
 ia. He sits on the advisory boards of the mobile IPR and patent company CV
 ON and mobile marketing company\, Qustodian\, and also sits on the board o
 f inspiration at the Dutch Think Tank Freedom Lab. \n\nThe seminar will be
  followed by Q&A and discussion\, with a networking drinks reception and b
