DESCRIPTION:The urban image as seen from a high point in the sky\, seems c
 onventional in the days of the airplanes and of powerful instruments like 
 satellite maps with easy access on the web. But between 16th and 19th cent
 ury we have the rise of a  language\,  the conceptual image of the city re
 presented in  precise and measurable views from an imaginary high point in
  the sky. It will be the discovery and the use of hot-air-balloons and air
 planes that will definitely change this perception. The paper approaches t
 he subject through the analysis of the Italian and European city views in 
 modern and contemporary times: wonderful images perfectly balanced between
  art and science.\n
