DESCRIPTION:This paper describes the application of so-called "topic model
s" to\nselectional preference induction. Three models related to Latent Di
 richlet\nAllocation\, a proven method for modelling document-word co-occur
rences\,\nare presented and evaluated on datasets of human plausibility ju
dgements.\nCompared to previously proposed techniques\, these models perfo
rm very\ncompetitively\, especially for infrequent predicate-argument comb
inations\nwhere they exceed the quality of Web-scale predictions while usi
 ng\nrelatively little data.
