DESCRIPTION:*ABSTRACT*: Educational success is key to achieve social inclu
sion. However\, at present\, many children in Europe fail in terms of thei
r academic results\, and consequently face discrimination and social exclu
sion. INCLUD-ED: _Strategies for inclusion and social cohesion in Europe f
rom education_ (2006-2011)\, the only Integrated Project focused on school
ing within the Research Framework Programmes of the European Commission\,
tackles this situation. INCLUD-ED clarifies which actions generate school
failure and exclusion\, and which ones produce academic success and lead t
o social cohesion\, especially for social and cultural groups that have tr
aditionally been marginalised. The later actions are called Successful Edu
cational Actions (SEA). Case studies of successful schools around Europe h
ave led to the identification of those SEAs\, which in all cases reduce th
e school failure rate and improve the living together. SEA emerge as unive
rsal and transferrable practices that are creating successful learning env
ironments anywhere they are implemented. This talk will address the main r
esults from the research that are contributing to guarantee educational su
ccess for all in Europe.\n\n*Biographical Note*:\n\nRocío García is a Fa
