DESCRIPTION:I will provide a brief overview of my recent research (with Le
onid \nLevitov) on the effects of electron-electron interactions in bilaye
r \ngraphene (BLG). I will show using a renormalisation group approach tha
t \nBLG behaves at leading order as a marginal fermi liquid\, and I will \
ndiscuss the possible experimental signatures. I will then show that at \n
lower temperatures BLG displays a weak coupling instability to various \nb
roken symmetry ordered phases\, which may be investigated in a saddle \npo
int plus quadratic fluctuations approach. I will illustrate how these \nph
ases may be classified using a hidden SU(4) symmetry\, and will point \nou
t that they have topological characteristics. I will conclude with \npropo
sing a phase diagram for BLG.\n\nReferences\,\n\nR. Nandkishore and L. Lev
