DESCRIPTION:The talk will be in 2 parts. First I'll talk about using obser
 vations of organic aerosol and a global chemical transport model to constr
 ain the secondary organic aerosol budget. Second I use a dataset of cloud 
 condensation nuclei (CCN) observations to demonstrate that soot aerosol co
 ntributes greatly to CCN concentrations. We use the evaluated model to est
 imate the cloud albedo aerosol indirect effect due to soot aerosol.
