DESCRIPTION:I will present some experimental results from Ticker. Ticker i
s an audio text-entry method for single-switch users. It relies strongly o
n the user's ability to do blind source separation as multiple voices read
different parts of the alphabet simultaneously. Experimental results have
shown that healthy students could successfully select letters from 5 audi
o channels (i.e.\, when five voices read different parts of the alphabet s
imultaneously). I will indicate the improvements to the design discussed i
n a previous talk to achieve this result\, and I will discuss our current
case study on a patient with locked-in syndrome.
