DESCRIPTION:I will discuss some normal approximation results for sums of a
  "random multiplicative function". The proofs make use of a central limit 
 theorem for martingales\, together with estimates for the number of intege
 rs with certain numbers of prime divisors. I will try to make the talk acc
 essible and interesting to both number theorists and probabilists (and oth
 ers).
