DESCRIPTION:Neonatal diabetes is a form of diabetes that occurs in the fir
 st 6 months of life. Infants with Neonatal Diabetes do not produce enough 
 insulin\, leading to an increase in blood glucose. Neonatal Diabetes is of
 ten mistaken for the much more common type 1 diabetes. Fran Ashcroft has i
 nternational reputation for her work on insulin secretion\, type II diabet
 es and neonatal diabetes. Her work has helped to enable children born with
  diabetes to switch from insulin injections to tablet therapy. \n\n£2 for
