 un technical and executive education\, founding the Cambridge Programme fo
 r Industry in 1988\, and played a significant part\, alongside many others
 \, in building bridges between the University and the entrepreneurial comm
 unities that were developing in and around Cambridge. He moved in 2000 to 
 found the Corporate Liaison Office which concentrated on similar activitie
 s\, but this time between the University and major research-intensive glob
 al companies. He has now retired from the University but retains a strong 
 interest in fostering and facilitating entrepreneurship in and around Camb
 ridge. He has served as Senior Treasurer for CUTEC since its foundation in
