DESCRIPTION:The field of communication complexity studies the amount of co
 mmunication between two parties that is needed for them to compute some fu
 nction of their distributed inputs. In this talk\, I will discuss some cas
 es where one-way quantum communication can be significantly more efficient
  than classical communication. This talk is based on the paper arXiv:1007.
 3587 and some more recent work.
