DESCRIPTION:Welcome back! We hope you have had a fantastic summer and that
  you are ready for our awesome line-up of talks this term. We particularly
  welcome the Freshers who have just signed up.\n\nWe hope that you are all
  excited by the prospect of our fascinating first talk *THIS Tuesday\,12th
  of October at 8pm*.This talk is *FREE* and Freshers can become members of
  SciSoc with a special offer of 10 pounds life membership!\n\nDr Piers Bur
 sill-Hall is one of few people to have professionally studied both mathema
 tics and history. These days he teaches “History of Maths”\nat the Uni
 versity of Cambridge and is especially interested in the Ancient period. A
 mong the undergraduates he is already a legend for his lectures \nand his 
 interdisciplinary coverage during his talks. We are really happy to \nwelc
 ome Dr Piers Bursill-Hall for our first talk of the year!
