DESCRIPTION:Professor Ira Bogotch from Florida Atlantic University will ad
 dress this theme.  He will argue that the US has departed from its mission
  of providing free publicly supported education to all children.  He will 
 show how big foundations such as Gates\, Broad\, Wallace\, Walton\, and id
 eological think tanks\, (e.g. Fordham\, Hoover\, Manhatten\, Heritage) tog
 ether with the U.S. national government have introduced policies and incen
 tives that are "countercultural\," and\, thus\, socially unjust.  He will 
 relate the issues to research from both the International Handbook on Lead
 ership for Learning (in press) and the International Handbook for Educatio
 nal Leadership and Social [In]Justice (publication date set for 2013)
