DESCRIPTION:The theory of categories provides a useful language for talkin
 g about many different areas of mathematics. But sometimes we want to work
  with modifications of the notion of category\, introducing some extra str
 ucture or some new kinds of arrow. I'll introduce several such useful modi
 fications\, and describe a very general framework into which many of them 
 can be fitted. This talk is intended to be accessible to those with only a
  minimal background in category theory.
