DESCRIPTION:We will give an overview of the self-similar behavior of Smolu
 chowski's coagulation equation\, including well-known results for the expl
 icitly solvable cases\, as well as some more recent ones on the spectral g
 ap for the constant kernel\, and the shape of profiles for other homogeneo
 us kernels. We will also describe many related open problems. Some of the 
 results mentioned in this talk are joint works with S. Mischler and C. Mou
 hot.
