DESCRIPTION:Professor Angela McLean studied Mathematics at Oxford and rece
 ived her PhD in Biomathematics from Imperial College. She held a Royal Soc
 iety University Research Fellowship\, first in Oxford's Zoology Department
  and then in the Department of Immunology at the Pasteur Institute in Pari
 s. She is now a Senior Research Fellow in Theoretical Life Sciences at All
  Souls College and Professor of Mathematical Biology in the Department of 
 Zoology. She is also a Director of the Institute for Emerging Infections i
 n the James Martin 21st Century School. In 2009\, Angela was elected to th
 e Fellowship of the Royal Society.
