DESCRIPTION:An intriguing and almost completely unsolved problem is to und
 erstand\nthe overlap between classes of q-hypergeometric series and automo
 rphic\nforms.\nFor example\, we now know that each of Ramanujan's mock the
 ta functions is\nthe holomorphic part of a weak Maass form. In this talk\,
  we provide a\nframework\nwhich generalizes recent work of Andrews and dis
 cuss automorphic properties\nof the associated q-hypergeometric series. Th
 is is joint work with Kathrin\nBringmann\nand Jeremy Lovejoy.\n
