DESCRIPTION:In January 2010 the Greek & Roman gallery of the Fitzwilliam r
 e-opened after its first redisplay in forty years.  The 18-month refurbish
 ment aimed at providing an up-to-date encounter with the Greek and Roman c
 ollection which would appeal to visitors of all experiences.  As the Resea
 rch Associate employed to facilitate the new display I will talk about wha
 t happened when academic concepts about the ancient world met the practica
 lities of displaying antiquity in a museum.
