DESCRIPTION:The Statistics Clinic is a fortnightly meeting between Statist
 icians and Machine Learners on one side and Researchers (Graduate Students
  and Research Staff) on the other. The Statisticians provide advice on all
  questions relating to uncertainty\, hypothesis testing\, data modeling an
 d inference.\n\nThe idea is to keep the threshold to participation as low 
 as possible: All graduate students and researchers are invited\, regardles
 s of their field. If you have a lot of highly structured data\, or very li
 ttle\, noisy data\, if you do not know how to test the validity of a parti
 cular hypothesis or infer an unmeasurable quantity from observations of de
 pendent variables\, you are very much invited to come and join us.\n\nIf y
 ou would like to make an appointment\, send an email to clinic [at] statsl
