DESCRIPTION:The production of coloured supersymmetric particles is a very 
 important SUSY discovery channel at the LHC.  In this talk I will report o
 n recent progress towards improving theoretical predictions for all squark
  and gluino pair-production processes in hadronic collisions. In particula
 r\, I will discuss the effects of multiple soft gluon emission and present
  the calculation of the threshold-resummed total cross sections at the nex
 t-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. Numerical predictions for these cross s
 ections at hadron colliders\, with a special emphasis on results for the 7
  TeV LHC collider\, will be  \ndiscussed.
