DESCRIPTION:For any BSM theory\, the underlying particle mass spectrum wil
l be\namong the first available information on the new physics involved. A
\nmultitude of techniques is currently available to determine the masses o
f\nnew particles in these models from measured data. Here\, we report on a
n\nongoing study in which different mass determination methods are applied
to\na common SUSY event sample\, generated including a generic collider\n
detector simulation. The event sample was produced with and without the\ne
xplicit generation of an additional hard jet by the hard matrix element\nt
o investigate possible effects of extra hard jet radiation. We report on\n
first results of this study for several of the more commonly used mass\nde
 termination methods.
