DESCRIPTION:In recent years\, there has been a growing trend in incorporat
 ing machine learning techniques in computer vision applications. This talk
  will give a brief overview of the problems in computer vision and the app
 lication of machine learning in solving these problems.\n\nWe will look at
  the Viola-Jones detector for face detection as an example. It employs a v
 ariant of the AdaBoost learning algorithm to select the best features and 
 to train a set of classifiers\, with a cascade architecture to provide rea
