DESCRIPTION:The seminar will be based on a study conducted by myself and t
 hree other\ncolleagues\, focusing on prospective mathematics teachers’ r
 eflections on teaching\npractice at the secondary level. The 22 participan
 ts were engaged in a number of\nactivities such as observing mathematics c
 lassrooms\, designing and teaching in\nthe context of a one semester mathe
 matics education course and were asked to\nidentify critical classroom inc
 idents. The results indicate a progression of\nprospective teachers’ not
 icing of classroom practice and development of teaching\nawareness marked 
 by shifts in analysing and interpreting classroom events
