DESCRIPTION:Let k be a field of characteristic p. The Adams operations on 
 the Green\nring (or representation ring) of a finite group G are certain\n
 Z-linear maps arising from the study of symmetric and exterior\npowers of 
 kG-modules. I will explain what these operations\nare and show that they h
 ave some nice properties.
