DESCRIPTION:Drawing on Eisentstein's "The Battleship Potemkin"\, I will ex
 plore Deleuze's concept of the movement-image in pre-war cinema and the de
 velopment of the time-image in modern film. This will lead up to an introd
 uction to Deleuze's concept of the 'Spiritual Automaton' and a discussion 
 of the relationship between cinema and thought.\n
