 strom (University of Umeå)\, will present their new book The Oxford Handb
 ook of Local and Regional Democracy in Europe (Oxford University Press\,20
 10) on Friday 4 February at 5 pm in the Senior Common Room. Professor John
  Dunn (King's)\, will say a few words about the book. The Handbook is a su
 rvey of subnational democracy in the 27 EU member states plus Norway and S
 witzerland. It raises the question of the theory and practice of subnation
 al democracy and provides a wealth of information about all 29 European st
 ates. All are welcome to attend.\n
