DESCRIPTION:Janus particles are spherical colloids with hemispheres of dif
 ferent\nsurface chemistry.  In this talk\, I will describe their self-asse
 mbly as\ninvestigated through a combination of experiments\, analytical\nc
 alculations\, and simulations.  Furthermore\, I will discuss how\nanisotro
 pic coupling of Janus particles to the surrounding solvent can affect sedi
