  1968\, University Professor in 1975\, Head of the Institute of Machine De
 sign at Engineering Faculty of Bologna University in 1980\, Consultant of 
 Industrial Companies for Electrical Machinery since 1994. Organizer or coo
 rganizer and teacher of several Summer Courses on Design for Quality\, Eng
 ineering and Management\, Engineering Design and Industrial Design Interac
 tion for Technicians of Central European Countries\, at Bologna University
 . Director of the Institute of Advanced Study (ISA) of  Bologna University
  in 2003-2006\, Member of Academy of Science of Bologna in 2008\, Honorary
  Professor of Wroclaw University of Technology in 2010.\nResearch interest
 s in Engineering Design and Experimental Structural Analysis with more tha
 n 100 papers.\n\nBIOGRAPHY OF GIORGIO OLMI\n\nBorn in 1976\, Graduated in 
 Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bologna in 2001\, Ph.D.  Mater
 ial Mechanics and Technological Processes in 2005\, Assistant Professor of
  Machine Design in 2008\, Consultant of Automatic machinery industry. \nHi
 s research interests are in the general area of Experimental Mechanics and
  Reliability and Safety of Mechanical Constructions. He is author of about
  50 papers. \n
