DESCRIPTION:Solar cells based on polymers that can be deposited by printin
g have the potential to provide low-cost solar energy\, however device eff
iciencies still need to be improved. I will describe recent work within t
he Optoelectronics Group to characterise the nanostructure of organic phot
ovoltaic materials\, to understand the process of charge separation at org
anic interfaces\, and to relate structure and physical processes to device
  performance.
