DESCRIPTION:Dr Peter Carey of CU Plant Sciences Department\, is Chairman o
 f the British Ecological Society and was formerly at Monkswood Centre for 
 Ecology and Hydrology\, where he was in charge of the Countryside Survey: 
 an integrated asessment report for the countryside in 2007.\n\nThe talk is
  being given at the AGM of the Friends of the Roman Road and Fleam Dyke\, 
 which are famous for their chalk grassland flowers as well as their histor
 ic importance.
