DESCRIPTION:Numerous laboratory studies have highlighted the importance of
stiffness anisotropy for certain soils at both small and large strains.
However\, most commercially-available constitutive models do not account f
or this behaviour. This presentation will describe how two soil models\,
BRICK and M3SKH\, have been enhanced to consider stiffness anisotropy and
other key features of London Clay for industrial use by my PhD sponsor Aru
p Geotechnics. The importance of these features will be demonstrated thro
ugh the simulation of nonconventional laboratory tests performed in a holl
ow cylinder apparatus as well as finite element analyses of real case hist
 ories.\n
