DESCRIPTION:Astrobiology is a newly emerging multi-disciplinary science. I
 t is about a quest for life in the universe - may it be life on our own pl
 anet Earth\, thriving in hot springs\, under the sea\, or somewhere in the
  Dry Valleys of Antarctica\, or alien life existing in or outside the Sola
 r System\, which may or may have the ability to contact us or receive our 
 signals. In my talk I will give an introduction to this promising and fund
 amentally fascinating science\, as well as reasons why people around the w
 orld should be aware of it\, and nourish it with their support.\n
