DESCRIPTION:Some of the most remarkable processes in the Universe appear t
o involve black holes\, in stellar evolution and mergers from the era of r
eionization to the present. By frame dragging\, rapidly rotating black hol
es may radiate in various emission channels including gamma-rays during in
teractions with high density matter formed in core-collapse of massive sta
rs and mergers of compact objects. Black holes are scale free\, which sugg
ests that the light curves of their emissions are normalizable in duration
and count rate\, upon averaging out short time scale fluctuations. We sha
ll report on recent evidence for black hole spin down in a normalized ligh
t curve extracted from the BATSE catalogue with an outlook on long duratio
n bursts in radio and gravitational waves of interest to LOFAR\, LIGO-Virg
o and the recently funded LCGT.
