DESCRIPTION:The first long-duration balloon flight for Spider is scheduled
  from Antarctica in the December of 2012.  The telescope is designed to ta
 rget the B-mode polarisation of the CMB.  In this talk I will give an upda
 te of the instrument and flight.  I will also discuss a recent Spider syst
 ematics study outlined in O'Dea et al. (2011).  In addition I will discuss
  the Spider foreground dust model introduced in O'Dea et al. (2011).
