DESCRIPTION:If signals of new physics can be observed at a hadron collider
\, understanding the appropriate theoretical basis is unlikely to be trivi
al\, particularly in cases when weakly interacting particles are produced.
In this talk I will discuss the difficulties one faces when trying to rec
onstruct masses and spins in final states containing WIMPs. I will describ
e some of the most promising methods for dealing with those problems\, and
highlight some recent applications of those methods in current and future
  LHC searches.
