DESCRIPTION:The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been successfully taking d
ata since March 2010 and many new and exciting results have been recently
published.\nThis colloquium will review the topic of "Flavour Physics" at
the LHC.\nFlavour Physics is the search for new phenomena in quantum loop
processes involving heavy quarks and is expected to hold the key to the qu
estion "Why is the Universe made of matter and not antimatter?". One of th
e main experiments at the LHC\, the LHCb experiment is specifically design
ed for this purpose. The colloquium will discuss the status of LHCb\, desc
ribe the first exciting results from the experiment and look at the expect
ations for the next few years.\n
