DESCRIPTION:In the region of high centre-of-mass energies and small moment
 um transfers\, gravitational scattering can be studied within the eikonal 
 approximation. In this talk I will review the calculation of the eikonal a
 mplitude for transplanckian scattering within flat extra-dimensional theor
 ies. I will discuss the relevant phenomenology at the LHC and the proposed
  high-energy upgrade(HE LHC)\, considering the appropriate kinematic regio
 ns for the eikonal approximation to be valid and maximising the signal to 
 background ratio. I will also comment on the computability of the eikonal 
 signal comparing the calculable regions at the LHC and HE LHC. Based on ar
