 y 2011\, 2.00-5.30 pm\nFaculty of English\, room G.04\n\n2011 is the bicen
 tenary of the publication of Jane Austen’s first novel. This symposium i
 s being held to celebrate her achievement and to explore the possibilities
  for future research in an aspect of her work that remains surprisingly ne
 glected\, her use and art of language. The symposium participants\, who ap
 proach this topic from a variety of perspectives\, will be presenting work
 -in-progress papers in a workshop format. Graduate students and Faculty me
 mbers with related research interests are welcome to attend and there will
  be opportunities during the afternoon for them to contribute to the discu
