DESCRIPTION:When we impose a jet veto on a process we are requiring that s
ome region of phase space has a limited amount of hadronic activity. This
allows us to discriminate between processes with different initial colour
structures\, such as the different production methods for a Higgs boson. T
he simplest case for studying the effects of jet vetoes is dijet productio
n with a rapidity gap. I will discuss how an analytical resummation approa
ch can be used to calculate observables for such a process. I will then co
mpare the analytical results to those of the Herwig++ parton shower and ma
ke suggestions for how it can be improved.
