DESCRIPTION:_*This meeting will begin at 19:45 instead of 19:00 because of
  unforeseen parliamentary business.*_ \n\nDr Julian Huppert will give a br
 ief presentation (20min) on science and politics\, and will then be happy 
 to answer your questions. Unlike most MPs he has a science background\, ha
 ving been an active Research Fellow at the Cavendish Laboratory studying b
 iophysics and bioinformatics of nucleic acids. His political interests inc
 lude science policy\, human rights\, civil liberties\, DNA databases\, edu
 cation\, transport and climate change. At Westminster he chairs the Humani
 st Group\, an all-party parliamentary group. He is also a keen cyclist.\n 
 \nThis will be an excellent opportunity to come and meet the MP for Cambri
 dge\, and hear his views on the current state of science in the UK\, and w
 hat the government is doing to help develop and protect it. \n \nN.B. We h
