DESCRIPTION:My plan is to give a slow introduction to the use of the logar
 ithmic Laplace transform in obtaining bounds on the isotropic constants of
  convex bodies. We will review the proofs of Bourgain's n^{1/4} bound\, th
 e bound by the width of the thinshell\, and the bound in term of the sub-g
 aussian coefficient. This talk is based on joint works with Ronen Eldan an
 d with Emanuel Milman.\n\n
